Emerging Red Sox Star Sam Travis |
Way back in November, we wrote that Red Sox prospect
Sam Travis could be a factor on the 2017 team. Now, the mainstream sports media is catching up—sort of. According to
The Boston Herald's
Evan Drellich,
Travis is a "2018 arrival at the latest." Actually, we think he could be anchored at first base (or DH) by the All-Star Break
this year—especially when
Mitch Moreland inevitably regresses to the mean. As long as he is healthy, Travis can be a
beast at the plate. Before suffering a torn ACL last Spring, he was one of the hottest hitters in camp (.469, 13 RBIs). Keep an eye on this guy in
this year's Spring Training.
