Sox Could Add Another Starter After E-Rod Knee Injury
Multiple reports are indicating that the Red Sox—despite just trading Clay Buchholz—might be in the market for another starting pitcher in the wake of Eduardo Rodriguez re-injuring his knee. If E-Rod's "minor" tweak develops (again) into something more serious, Boston is suddenly down to just two other starters—both of whom also have had recent injury woes (Drew Pomeranz, Steven Wright). So, Dave Dombrowski may be on the lookout for a low-cost veteran who can be rotation insurance—someone like old friends Jake Peavy or Rubby De La Rosa. Stay tuned!
