Multiple rumors—and they are just
rumors—are indicating that the Red Sox are offering IF
Yoan Moncada, SP
Michael Kopech and CF
Luis Alexander Basabe for
Chris Sale. These are the
#1, #5 and #7 prospects, respectively, in the Red Sox organization. While this would drain a big swath of the Boston farm system, it
protects some of the very best as well—primarily
Andrew Benintendi (#2) and
Rafael Devers (#3). This seems like a risky, but do-able deal—netting one of the top young lefty starters in baseball. Stay tuned!
