Main Street Baseball, the new ownership group of the Lowell Spinners, has been named the
'2016 Organization of the Year' by
Ballpark Digest. The Spinners, the short-season Single A affiliate of the Red Sox, was purchased by the group in June. MSB principal owner
Dave Heller also owns three other minor league franchises: the Quad Cities River Bandits, the Wilmington Blue Rocks and the Billings Mustangs. The Spinners—and their fan-friendly
Edward A. LeLacheur Park—have been a model franchise for years. Apparently, the new ownership is raising the standards even higher. Congrats to the Spinners!
