Mookie Betts Finishes Second To Trout In AL MVP Race
Mookie Betts did not quite make it all the way to MVP status—at least according to some baseball writers. The brilliant young Red Sox right-fielder fell just 45 votes short of Mike Trout in the balloting. Trout out-paced Mookie 19-9 in first-place votes, and despite Betts getting twice as many second-place votes, it was not enough to put him over the top. Considering that Mookie's team actually won something, we feel that he voters made the wrong choice. However, we will not be going to any "safe spaces" with puppies, Play-Doh and coloring books. Congratulations on a great year, Mookie!
