The completely moronic
World Baseball Classic will again disrupt the MLB season in 2017—ripping a hole in Spring Training from
March 6th to March 22nd. And, you can be darned sure that some superstar will pull a hammy or twist a knee that keeps them out of their
real team's lineup. This stupid tournament does nothing to enhance baseball's popularity worldwide—it's already firmly ensconced in Asia and will never grow beyond a dalliance anywhere else. If Major League Baseball
really wanted to enhance the game's popularity, they'd play post-season games at reasonable hours so young people in the Western Hemisphere can actually
watch the games.
