Twenty Games To Define The 2016 Red Sox Season
The first-place Carmine Hose have 20 games left on their regular season schedule—10 at home and 10 on the road. The first seven come up this week—three against the O's and four against The Evil Ones. From here on in, the Red Sox—with a two-game lead in the division—just need to win series to maintain their edge. Taking two of three from Baltimore and three of four from The Pinstriped Posers would go a long way toward cementing their hold on the AL East lead. And we all know that winning the division can be the difference between an extended run in the 'tournament' or a potential one-game exit. After this homestand, Boston will head back on the road to Baltimore (4 games), Tampa (3 games) and Baghdad-On-The-Hudson (3 games). They end the season with three more (likely pivotal) games against the Jays at Fenway. Wining series is all they need to do now—their fate is squarely in their hands.
