In July,
Mookie Betts shared our
Player Of The Month award with
Rick Porcello. While Porcello was again solid this past month, the Red Sox right-fielder has won our award
outright for August. In 29 games, Betts hit an astounding .378, with an on-base percentage of .414. Mookie also led the team in slugging for the month—with a .672 mark. He also had a ridiculous OPS of 1.086 for August. You really can't get much more dominant at the plate than Mookie was during the month. For example, he led the team in
runs scored (21),
hits (45),
doubles (8),
home runs (9),
RBIs (27) and
