Shipped Bobbleheads May Not Have Matched Promo
It appears that the David Ortiz bobbleheads that were actually shipped to the Red Sox for distribution did not match what was represented in the team's earlier promotions. That version—pictured here—does not appear to bear the offensive facial features that do seem to be present on what was actually delivered. Given the mis-match between the promotion and the actual products, it's understandable that the Red Sox pulled the giveaway at tonight's game. We apologize for ascribing any other motives to the team. All we had to go by was the earlier promotional picture—that the team itself proudly tweeted out earlier. Hopefully, the Red Sox can be a little more pro-active on these types of issues in the future.
