Needless to say, Red Sox honcho
Dave Dombrowski was not overly impressed with Tim Tebow's workout for MLB scouts yesterday. Double D's exact words were,
"I don’t want to say anything negative because other teams are looking at him, but I don’t think we’ll be rushing out to make a signing." Uh-huh. Actually, the general consensus around
all of baseball was that Tebow was
at best (as one unidentified scout put it)
"a poor man's Kirk Gibson". Mediocre throwing and hitting skills equip Tebow more for an Independent League stint that anything else. One thing Tebow
does have going for him: he'd probably stand for the National Anthem at Fenway.
