Mother Nature came out of the bullpen last night—with rain shortening
Boston's 8-1 pounding of the Orioles to just six innings. In those six frames,
David Price was terrific—allowing just four hits on his way to his 11th win of the season. On the offensive side, Boston pounded out thirteen hits—getting multi-hit games from:
Jackie Bradley, Jr. (his 20th HR and 4 RBIs),
Mookie Betts,
Sandy Leon and
Brock Holt. It was the sixth straight victory for
The Carmine Hose, and moves them one game ahead of the Birds in the chase for the AL East flag. The Red Sox arrived in Detroit after 3AM and have to play a 1PM game today.
