Red Sox Will Send Six To All-Star Game In San Diego
It's hard to believe that just one year ago, Brock Holt was the only Red Sox representative at the All-Star Game. This year, Boston will send six players to The Midsummer Classic in San Diego—four as starters. David Ortiz will be the American League DH, Xander Bogaerts will be at shortstop, Jackie Bradley, Jr. will be in center-field and Mookie Betts will patrol right field. By fan vote, Steven Wright was also named as a starting pitcher. By manager's vote, Craig Kimbrel was named to the bullpen. And, there is a good chance that a seventh Carmine Hoser will go west. Dustin Pedroia is one of 5 players that has made it to the final vote, which could make him an All-Star for the 5th time. You can vote for The Muddy Chicken HERE.
