ESPN's Jerry Crasnick informs us that
The Carmine Hose are not one of the eight team on the All-Star catcher's trade embargo list. The teams that
are on the blocked list are: Cleveland, Detroit Anaheim, Minnesota, Oakland, San Diego, Seattle and Washington. So, this is one more bit of information in the mix that may lead to Boston landing one of the most under-rated star backstops in all of baseball. Despite the organization's supposed "depth" at catcher, having a veteran "sure thing" would be a significant upgrade.
