Papi Hits Cleanup In ASG, Bogie 5th, Mookie 7th, JBJ 9th
The American League line-up is set for Tuesday night's All-Star Game and the four Red Sox starters fall like this: David Ortiz is in the clean-up spot, Xander Bogaerts hits 5th, Mookie Betts is 7th and Jackie Bradley, Jr. bats 9th. Jose Altuve, Mike Trout and Manny Machado comprise the top of the order and will be the "table-setters" for Big Papi in one of the most powerful line-ups in recent memory. Two Kansas City Royals—Eric Hosmer 6th, Salvador Perez 8th—fill out the order for the Junior Circuit. Chris Sale—winner of 14 games at the break—will start the game for the American League. It will be interesting to see exactly where Red Sox starter Steven Wright will be slotted into the pitching rotation—or if he even sees any action at all. The sixth Boston representative (Craig Kimbrel) was replaced on the AL roster by Blue Jay starter Aaron Sanchez.
