Matt Harvey |
In all the talk of the Red Sox trading for starting pitching, Matt Harvey's name is never really front and center—but it's always lingering in the background. According to Joe Giglio of NJ.com, those persistent rumors are back and flourishing. The word is that Boston will pursue Harvey now and—if unsuccessful—in the off-season. In fact, Dave Dombrowski tried to snare Harvey last off-season. Harvey is actually the least successful of the Mets' Big Five rotation—going 4-10 with a 4.86 ERA in 2016. But, he is still only 27 and is sure to find his footing again very soon. It's unclear how much of a prospect haul the Metropolitans would demand from the Red Sox, but it's certainly a conversation worth pursuing.
