Cut it out, Sandy! Red Sox back-up catcher
Sandy Leon continued his
Ted Williams-like onslaught—knocking in four of Boston's five runs in
a 5-2 win over The Bronx Embalmers. Leon's three-run HR broke open a close 2-1 game and sent the Red Sox to their sixth straight win. And, just as importantly,
Eduardo Rodriguez hurled a seven-inning gem—allowing just four hits and an earned run. In addition to Leon, both
Mookie Betts and
Jackie Bradley, Jr. had multiple hit games. Once again, the Boston bullpen was solid—with
Koji Uehara getting a second save in two days.
