Apparently, Red Sox Manager
John Farrell needs to call
162 team meetings. When he called for such a confab before yesterday's game, it got him a 8-2 win.
Today, Boston came back with a goose egg—
losing 4-0 to the Rays (the third time they've been shutout this year).
David Price delivered another '
non-$30-million' start—going 6 1/3 innings and yielding four earned runs on
nine hits. He did strike out 10 batters—but, frankly, who cares? The Red Sox "offense" consisted of five singles—not exactly
"Murderers' Row".
The Carmine Hose come home to Fenway for nine straight games starting on Friday night—where they are 23-18 this year. The team record in June ends at 10-16. Yikes!
