With their first pick on Day Two of the
2016 MLB Draft (3rd Round, 88th pick overall),
the Red Sox selected RHP Shaun Anderson—who currently serves as the closer for the University of Florida. The right-hander hit the mid-90s with his fastball during a stint last year in the
Cape Cod League. In 33 games for the Gators this year, he's racked up 30 saves and an impressive 1.05 ERA. Collegiate foes hit just .195 against Anderson. He is projected to be either a starter or a reliever.
