one among ten still-active former Red Sox players as the guy they'd like to have back on the team. As the chart shows, the top choice among readers is
Jon Lester (55%), followed fairly distantly by
Anthony Rizzo (23%)—who, to be fair, was only a prospect when he was dealt.
Adrian Beltre comes in third at 12%, followed by
Josh Reddick at 4%,
Victor Martinez at 3%,
Adrian Gonzalez at 2% and 1% each for
Jose Iglesias and
Mike Napoli. Interestingly,
Jacoby Ellsbury—once so popular in Boston—
