On Thursday, May 5th (
'Cinco de Mayo'), the Chicago White Sox will honor Red Sox DH
David Ortiz on his retirement
in a pre-game ceremony. The game will mark the last visit by
Big Papi to U.S. Cellular Field (barring a meeting between to two sets of baseball footwear in the post-season).
The Pale Hose have not indicated exactly what the ceremony will entail, but perhaps some sort of deep-dish pizza theme will be used. Or maybe Jake and Elwood will throw out the first pitch. We can't wait.
