In a flurry of moves prior to their new homestand,
the Red Sox sent both Brock Holt and reliver Carson Smith to the disabled list. They also called up
Blake Swihart from AAA Pawtucket—and he will immediately start in LF tonight against
Terry Francona and the Tribe. Boston also called up reliever
Noe Ramirez to fill out the roster.
