For the fourth straight game, the Red Sox put up double-digit runs to
eviscerate the slumping Astros, 11-1. Home runs by
Xander Bogaerts and
Mookie Betts paced the attack—which was backed by a resurgent
David Price performance. The beleaguered lefty went 6 2/3 strong innings (after a somewhat shaky first inning)—giving up just one earned run while
striking out twelve. Apparently,
Dustin Pedroia is a pretty good pitching coach, as his suggested mechanical tweaks seemed to have worked for Price. Every starter in the Boston lineup had a hit—including multiple hit games by: Bogaerts,
Hanley Ramirez and
Jackie Bradley, Jr. (who extended his hitting streak to 18 games). Just another offensive onslaught at the ballpark—almost
expected now!
