This week's rankings by
The Power Rankings Guru website (which tracks and averages all of the major media rankings)
shows that the Red Sox stayed in the third spot overall. While the Cubbies still hold onto the #1 spot, their
Windy City counterparts (
The Pale Hose) fell five spots to #7. The Washington Nationals moved into second place—just ahead of Boston. The Orioles and Giants round out the Top Five. The Red Sox now have an average ranking of "3.2", with the highest ranking being "2".
The Bronx Embalmers are still firmly at the back of the list—at
number eighteen out of a possible thirty. Once again, the Twinkies are the lowest rated American League team, and the Atlanta Braves finished at the overall bottom of the list. You can see all the Week Eight rankings
