Dustin Pedroia clouted his fourth HR of the year—and both
Hanley Ramirez and
Jackie Bradley, Jr. went deep as well—to propel the Red Sox to
a 7-3 win over the White Sox. The win gave Boston a series victory over the AL Central leaders and kept them in first place in the AL East.
The Muddy Chicken was 3-5 on the night—raising his average to .322.
David Ortiz and
Brock Holt also had multiple-hit games as well. Starter
Henry Owens was again unable to hold a lead, and lasted just three plus innings. Once again, the bullpen was solid—going six innings and giving up just one earned run. Boston now heads to
Baghdad-On-The-Hudson for a three-game set with the last-place
Bronx Embalmers.
