For the 28th time this season, the Red Sox recorded double-digit hits on their way to
a solid 5-2 win over Tito's Tribe.
David Ortiz led the way—going 4 for 4—and coming within a few inches of a cycle-gaining triple. One of his four hits was his 514th career HR and he also collected three RBIs.
Rick Porcello had his second
somewhat shaky outing, but got through 5 2/3 innings for his seventh win on the year.
Jackie Bradley, Jr. extended his hitting streak to 27 games—the longest in MLB since 2014.
Xander Bogaerts got three more hits—and is now hitting .346.
Mookie Betts collected two base knocks and raised his average to .279. Boston has Monday off and then welcomes the team they swept in the 2007 World Series—the Colorado Rockies.
