There was a time, sports fans, when each MLB team had two uniforms (one road, one home) and a single style of cap. Then, the marketing weasels entered the sport. Today, if you go to Fenway Park, you are
very lucky if the Red Sox are wearing their classic home whites and blue cap. To further besmirch the game, MLB has announced a whole new raft of specialty uniforms and caps for 2016. The Red Sox caps are particularly revolting—especially the July 4th edition. The 1960s era '
MacDonalds' All-Star Home Run Derby cap, however,
really takes the cake—or should we say, takes the sesame seed bun. Yeesh!
