The University of Maryland, College Park, Maxwell has played for four different teams over his seven-year career. Back in 2012, he clouted 18 home runs for the Astros in 124 games. He holds a lifetime batting average of .220. He played last season for the San Francisco Giants and was recently released by the Miami Marlins—after signing a minor-league deal with an invite to Spring Training.
