Dave Dombrowski must have a
really bad case of agita tonight. His prized off-season acquisition—
David Price—had another horrific start today in
a 12-8 Red Sox loss. Staked to a 5-1 lead in the first inning, Price lasted just 3 2/3 innings—yielding eight earned runs, two HRs and two hit batsmen.
The Carmine Hose rallied from an 8-5 deficit, only to see the Rays go ahed 9-8 in the eighth and 12-8 in the ninth.
Mookie Betts had
another 2-run HR, and
Dustin Pedroia was 3-6 with two RBIs. But, this was a real stinker and begs the question of who is the ace on this staff? Looks like
Rick Porcello to us! Who knew? By the way, Boston was 4-6 on this awful homestand.
