Sox Have Four Prospects In Baseball America Top 20
Four Red Sox prospects have made it into the Top 20 of Baseball America's ranking this year. The number three prospect overall is 2B Yoan Moncada—behind only Corey Seager of the Dodgers and Byron Buxton of the Twinkies. After Moncada, OF Andrew Benintendi places 15th, 3B Rafael Devers is in 18th place, and SP Anderson Espinoza comes in at position #19. Boston has one more prospect in the Top 100—SP Michael Kopech at #89. So, The Carmine Hose have 20% of all the Top 20 Prospects on the list—a pretty impressive haul, considering how many prospects have already been promoted to the major league club (e.g., Mookie Betts, Xander Bogaerts, Blake Swihart, Travis Shaw, Christian Vazquez, Jackie Bradley, Jr., Rusney Castillo) or traded (e.g., Manuel Margot, Javier Guerra).
