Yikes!!!! (MassLive.Com Photo) |
Well, isn't this special?
Pablo Sandoval arrived a day later than expected and dropped the following bombshell:
The Red Sox did not ask him to lose weight in the off-season. This, despite public pronouncements—by former interim manager
Torey Lovullo—to the contrary. At the end of last season, Lovullo said both Sandoval and
Hanley Ramirez were each asked to lose "15-20 pounds" over the winter. Said the Panda today,
"I don't weigh in at all. I just do my work. I do everything I can out there. I don't weigh in at all, all offseason. So I just try to get better — be in better position. And like I said, be an athlete. So that's what I look like." From the looks of today's photos, things haven't changed much.
