One possible sanction against new
Evil Empire closer
Aroldis Chapman could be
a complete ban on participation in Spring Training. MLB Commissioner
Rob Manfred has the power to impose such a penalty if the fireballer is suspended for an alleged domestic violence incident. Baseball's new domestic violence policy give Manfred significant leeway in cracking down on alleged offenders like Chapman. Allegedly, last October, the new ninth inning pitcher of
"The Pinstriped Posers" fired eight gunshots after an argument with his girlfriend—then (as she told police) he "choked" her and pushed her against a wall. Just call him,
"Mr. Nice Guy".
