David Price Expects Boston To Be His Final MLB Stop

According to WEEI.com's Rob Bradford, new Red Sox ace David Price is expecting to serve out the full length of his seven-year contract with Boston. This, despite the obvious opportunity to "bail-out" after three years with the opt-out clause imbedded in that $217 million pact. According to Price that clause was just agent stuff, "I think that's just kind of the new way to do things these days. It's been the trend over the past couple of years. I don't even think I knew about it." Price went on to talk about his legacy, "Once I complete these seven years I'll be five days short of 14 years, and that's a very good career. We'll have to see how I feel after that seventh year and make a decision then." Of course, once he's had three years of ups and downs here, he may change his mind. Hopefully, the first three rings on his fingers will keep him here the full seven seasons.
