Bob Ryan: Jackie Bradley, Jr. Needs To Be In CF
The great Bob Ryan weighed in on the composition of the 2016 Red Sox outfield on CSN's Early Edition. Ryan feels that Jackie Bradley, Jr. needs to be the team's center fielder. Said Ryan, "If you have the best chef in the world, you don’t ask him to be a short order cook. You ask him to prepare the greatest gourmet meal. Jackie Bradley Jr. is the single best defensive center fielder I have ever seen in a Red Sox uniform . . . If he’s in the lineup, he’s got to be in center field." It appears that it will be Bradley in center and Mookie Betts in right when Boston opens the season in Cleveland on April 4th—but apparently it's not yet 100% set. Stay tuned.
