Hopefully, it's not an omen for the 2016 season. Just a matter of weeks before the Red Sox open Spring Training in Fort Myers, Florida,
a tornado-force storm wiped out a team security booth at jetBlue Park in that city. The Red Sox moved to the so-called "Fenway South" complex in 2012, after vacating
City Of Palms Park (also in Fort Myers), which was their Winter home from 1993-2011. The team's Director of Florida Operations stated,
"We’re all good here. The cart was the only real thing that happened and we were planning to get rid of it anyway, so Mother Nature took care of it for us." Mother Nature could not be reached for comment.
