FenwayNation Poll show that
Dustin Pedroia is the clear choice to inherit the mantle of
"Face Of The Red Sox Franchise" once
David Ortiz retires. As the chart shows,
'The Muddy Chicken' pulls in a solid majority of the total vote (55%)—far ahead of second-place finisher
Xander Bogaerts (22%) and third-place holder
Mookie Betts (19%). Interestingly,
Blake Swihart finished next on the list with 2%. The only players to receive
less than one percent were:
Jackie Bradley, Jr.,
Rusney Castillo,
Hanley Ramirez and
Christian Vazquez.
