Forget about the Red Sox trading
Hanley Ramirez and then signing
Chris Davis to play first base. It was a nice pipe dream, but it just went up in smoke. The
Orioles have signed Davis to a seven-year, $161 million contract. As recently as yesterday, reports suggested that former Red Sox GM
Dan Duquette had become fed up with the
Davis Soap Opera and was ready to move on.
Not. The Orioles
were also flitting around former
Carmine Hoser Yoenis Cespedes—but they will likely drop out of that bidding now.
