David Ortiz is more than willing to advise (potentially) future DH Hanley Ramirez about his possible 2017 role. Said Ortiz,
"This year I'm going to talk to him about it and take him through things I normally like to do. In case it happens, he will be ready for it. I've got no problem showing my boy anything that I know." For his part, Ramirez was more than willing to
take the DH tutelage of
Big Papi. Over his career, Ramirez
does have some DH experience (albeit limited to 25 games)—and he's hitting .316 with a .946 OPS.
