Shelby Miller was traded by the Braves to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for three players—including highly-regarded prospect
Dansby Swanson (the rough equivalent of
Yoan Moncada.) The 21-year old Swanson (out of Vanderbilt) was the
number one overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft. Probably too much to pay for Miller, but the transaction still has a chance to be a winner for both teams. In any event, Miller won't be pitching for the Red Sox.
