Given the spotty history between

David Price, the Red Sox figured
they should check with the former before signing the latter. So, Boston ran the deal by their DH and got an "OK". Hey, they're both "Davids" after all. Said Papi,
"All that matters to me is winning, and I know that him being on our side, we’re going to win ballgames. I have no problem with that." Of course, one wonders what
John Henry would have done differently had Ortiz nixed the seven-year, $217 million pact. Hmm.
