27-Year Old Aroldis Chapman |
By the time
Tom Brady and the Patriots have finished smiting the
"G-Men" from Gotham City, the Red Sox may have a closer of the future in the fold. This past Wednesday,
FenwayNation posted a story that
Aroldis Chapman (and possibly OF
Jay Bruce) would come to Boston in a trade for
one of the team's three young outfielders. Now, multiple sources (including Hall-Of-Fame writer
Peter Gammons) are saying that
such a deal could come before the end of this weekend—with
Jackie Bradley, Jr. (and
more) the likely price
The Carmine Hose will have to pay. Chapman—the fireballing lefty closer—is a free agent after 2016, so it's likely that
Dave Dombrowski would have to ink him
long-term to justify the sacrifice of a player like Bradley.
Definitely stay tuned!
