Sox Re-Sign Leon, Cut Ties With Craig, Ogando, Machi

In a flurry of moves this afternoon, the Red Sox cut ties with some players and re-signed one—catcher Sandy Leon. Leon—who was assigned to AAA—is clearly being viewed as insurance for any deals involving either Blake Swihart or Christian Vazquez. Boston "out-righted" OF/1B Allen Craig (to AAA-no big surprise there) along with relief pitchers Alexi Ogando and Jean Machi (who were both eligible for arbitration).
