The Red Sox open their 2016 Spring Training season on February 29th against the Northeastern University Huskies and the Boston College Eagles. Then (big surprise),
The Carmine Hose face-off against the Twinkies
seven times in the next 33 days. Boston plays
The Evil Ones just twice during the Spring—on Saturday, March 5th at 1:05 PM at
Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. Then—fittingly on
The Ides Of March—they face
The Bronx Embalmers at 6:05 PM at
jetBlue Park in Fort Myers. They also meet the National League Champion Mets in a split-squad contest on March 24th. The team winds up the Grapefruit League season in Montreal with two final exhibition games against the AL East Champion Toronto Blue Jays. Oh, and the equipment truck leaves Fenway Park on February 10, 2016.
