Red Sox Are One Of Five Teams Now In On David Price
According to multiple reports this Thanksgiving, the Red Sox are among five teams bidding for the services of David Price. The other four are: the Cubs, Cardinals, Dodgers and Giants. Most pundits—including ESPN's Buster Olney—think Boston is the favorite to land the left-handed starter. Of course, Price first gained notoriety in 2008 as an effective young reliever against the Red Sox in that year's ALCS. Also, he has maintained a real or imagined "feud" with Red Sox DH David Ortiz. This bidding could move very quickly, so don't be lulled into a tryptophan-induced sleep due to too much turkey.
