Former Red Sox Player Otis Nixon Arrested Again
Otis Nixon played just one season in Boston—but back in 1994 he did hit .274 and collected 42 of his 620 career stolen bases. For some reason, the Red Sox have employed a bunch of players with the name "Nixon". In addition to Otis, there was Willard, Russ—and, of course, Trot. Otis was traded away from The Carmine Hose in December of 1994 for (amazingly enough) Jose Canseco. Now, news out of Atlanta indicates that Nixon is in trouble with the law again. Back in 2013, he was arrested at a traffic stop for possession of crack cocaine. Now, he's been arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was released from jail on a $2,500 bond. Hopefully, Nixon can get his life straightened out.
