Farrell, Lovullo |
On the final day of the 2015 season, new Red Sox President and CEO
Dave Dombrowski officially named John Farrell as the team's 2016 manager—provided his recovery process proceeds as we all hope. Dombrowski also stated that interim manager
Torey Lovullo signed a two-year pact to stay on as Farrell's bench coach. Farrell—after finishing a substantial round of chemotherapy treatments—hopes to get a cancer-free diagnosis in a few weeks. Both of these moves are solid ones by the team. We applaud them both.
