Former Red Sox play-by-play man
Don Orsillo has officially made it to San Diego—and the Padres have already given him a team jersey! Orsillo will do joint radio and TV work for the Padres in 2016—and then, in 2017, will take over
full TV responsibilities upon the retirement of broadcasting legend
Dick Enberg. It's a little bit weird to see Orsillo with foreign laundry—but we're sure he will succeed in his new gig. Although, one Padres blog (padrespublic.com), listed the following as Orsillo "weaknesses":
"Propensity for laughing fits and extended periods where attention is away from on-field action. Not particularly saber-savvy." Well, there
is that.
