Cubbies Need 'Idiot'-Like Comeback to Salvage Season
Former Red Sox property Anthony Rizzo summed it up well, "A New York team has blown a 3-0 lead. Let’s make it the other New York team. That’s the way we’re going to look at it. That’s all we can do. We have to be optimistic." True enough, But, Chicago dug itself into a huge hole (as Donald Trump might put it) with their 5-2 loss in Game Three of NLCS last night. Now, it will take four straight wins (two in Flushing) to turn Back To Future II into the most prescient movie in Hollywood history. Not very likely. Theo Epstein, who was front row and center at the previous New York Choke stated, "We can do it. We have nine winning streaks of four or more games this year. If we get hot—if we get really hot—we can do it. We just have to show up and win tomorrow." Maybe they should have coach Manny Ramirez convince Kevin Millar to sign-up for one day. You know, he can deliver something like: "Don't let us win tonight. We got Lester tomorrow and Arrieta in Game 6 and anything can happen in a Game 7". Come on, Cubbies!!!!
