Recently, it's been the youngsters providing the pop in Red Sox victories. Last night, two
veterans—
Dustin Pedroia and
David Ortiz—led the way in
a 10-1 drubbing of the Orioles at Camden Yards.
The Laser Show homered twice and Ortiz clouted his 501st career round-tripper as Boston amassed 12 hits on the night. Also in on the offensive parade were rookie SS
Deven Marrero (3 hits) and
Brock Holt (2 hits). Of course, another non-veteran stole the show on the mound—as lefty
Henry Owens dazzled in 7 2/3 scoreless innings. The 23-year old struck out four and walked none in his third victory of the year.
