Papelbon And Harper Fight It Out In 'Loser' Nats Dugout
Former Red Sox closer Jonathan Papelbon has recently been stinking up the District Of Columbia for his new team the Washington Nationals. Case in point: today's 9th inning meltdown against his former Phillies teammates (loss, 1 inning, 5 runs, 2 earned, HR). Prior to that stellar outing, Papelbon came to blows with teammate and MVP contender Bryce Harper. After Harper flied out in the 8th inning, Papelbon grabbed Harper's throat and shoved him back toward the bench with both arms. Teammates pulled them apart after a lengthy scuffle. Said Pap, "I grew up with brothers, he grew up with brothers, I view him as a brother. And sometimes in this game, there's a lot of testosterone and things spill over." Uh-huh. Cain and Abel maybe.
