Muddy Chicken Poised For Tuesday Return to Lineup
Assuming a last-minute medical check goes well, Dustin Pedroia will return to the Red Sox lineup tonight against the Blue Jays. The Laser Show has endured two separate DL stints (hamstring)—and has played only six games since June 24th. His presence in the lineup (and in the field) can only enhance the recent surge in solid play by The Carmine Hose. Said manager Torey Lovullo, "We are staying 100-percent away from the fact that he might not be ready. We can assume that he’s going to be ready, once he gets that final checkpoint. If so, he’s not going to be thinking about the leg, and more focused on being productive." Needless to say, having Pedroia back will be a welcome sight.
